Environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful has announced that six of Angus’ favourite beaches have been awarded the prestigious Scotland’s Beach Award. The 2023 award winners include Lunan Bay, Montrose Seafront, Arbroath, Carnoustie, Monifieth and East Haven.

From 2 October this year, there will be new tax requirements put in place by the UK Government for applications for certain licences across Scotland and Northern Ireland. You will need to complete a tax check with His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC) before applying to renew a licence.

The price of charging an electric vehicle at charging points maintained by Angus Council will increase from Thursday 1 June 2023. The price will go up from 23p per kWh to 41p per kWh on all publicly owned slow, fast and rapid chargers.

Work to make Brechin Den a better environment for wildlife and to be more accessible for people to enjoy has been completed. The project received a timely boost in December last year when Angus Council received a Nature Restoration Fund award of £22,724 from Nature Scot to carry out additional daylighting at the Den.
