Strathmore Primary School in Forfar have become the first school in Scotland to achieve the prestigious ADHD Friendly School award by the ADHD Foundation for their work with children with ADHD in the last academic year.

Four local projects designed to improve communities and places across Angus will share funding totalling £624,000. It is hoped this substantial investment, approved at our Communities Committee on Tuesday (16 Aug), will help in the drive towards economic recovery, increase local resilience and accelerate Community-Led Regeneration.

School Friendly Zones will be in place at Andover, Carlogie, Liff and Southesk primary schools when children return to school on Monday (16 August). Plans to introduce a zone at Letham Primary School have been paused to allow for further discussion with local residents and to try and resolve concerns they have raised about the trial.

A Tay Cities Engineering Partnership has been given the green light to create a multi-million-pound Engineering Partnership Innovation Centre, marking a significant milestone for the engineering sector in Scotland.  
Construction works at Montrose Townhouse will begin on Monday 11 April for approximately 5 months.  Scaffolding and security fencing will surround the building, and pavement widths may be restricted in places. The undercroft adjacent to The Coffee House will be closed for the duration of the works.

  Angus Council has topped the recycling league table for 2020 by becoming the number one recycling local authority in Scotland, in figures released by SEPA. Of the 52,166 tonnes of household waste generated in Angus, 30,226 tonnes were recycled, a massive 57.9%.
