Owner occupier/privately rented properties
For major and complex adaptations, as an owner-occupier/private tenant you may be entitled to grant assistance for at least 80% of any eligible works required.
Depending on what benefits you receive, you could be entitled to 100% grant funding for eligible works. You can contact your OT for general information and advice on funding arrangements. You can also seek independent financial advice.
Please be aware that you cannot access grant funding through Angus Council without support from the OT service. There is no guarantee of full or part funding if you proceed with works on your own and thereafter submit a grant application. Applications are subject to available funds at the time of an application being submitted.
Should you wish to self-fund any recommended adaptations, information and advice can be provided by the OT Service as well as Care and Repair. This can include assisting with preparation of drawings and an outline of required works and obtaining competitive tenders or directing to possible alternative sources of funding.
